Pim Bungalow

Koh Ma is right nearby, and restaurants and massage places are easy to reach on foot. The bungalows are clean, quiet, and well looked after, with porch hammocks looking out onto a peaceful garden. A welcoming family runs the place. They also have a shop, laundry service, and motorbikes in great condition for rent, which makes day-to-day things easy.

The staff were really nice and everything was great. Mae Haad does seem more suited to couples and families, though, so it may not be the best area if you're traveling solo 😁

SCOOTER SCAM!!! We spent three nights at Pim bungalow. The room was pleasant, with a big bathroom and a fridge, though the mattress was a little hard. Otherwise, everything was fine. Renting a scooter there was a mistake. When I returned it, they blamed us for damage to the exhaust pipe cover. We hadn't hit anything, and I couldn't understand how it had happened. Then I checked the video I'd taken when picking it up and saw that the part's markings were different, meaning it had been changed between pickup and return. They didn't think I'd notice. I believe they swapped it overnight to charge us. They denied changing anything and wanted 650 baht, but I had to pay 300 baht to get my passport back. The group after us was caught out over the same part too. This family seems nice, but in reality they're scammers. Don't trust them!

The area is beautiful and peaceful, away from the noise, though several routes connect it to the port and downtown. We stayed for two nights, and the staff member who helped us was friendly and useful. We rented a motorbike there too, and everything went great.
