Thong Nai Pan Beach Residence

We booked with the hotel directly and spent two nights in a beachfront room. It was beautifully decorated and comfortable, with everything we needed, including a fridge, hairdryer, and kettle. The private front porch had chairs and a sunbed, plus a hammock where we could lie back and listen to the waves. Very relaxing. The receptionist was friendly and arranged a private transfer to and from the pier at a competitive price. I’m not sure why it’s rated two stars, it deserves more. Wish we’d stayed longer! Highly recommend for the Thong pan nai yai area.

It’s right across from the beach and they clean every day. The room is very basic, though, and there’s no TV.

The young woman was friendly and helpful. Take her advice on the taxi she suggests, it’s a proper car rather than an open taxi. The beach is lovely, there’s an outdoor shower, and they provide things for enjoying the beach. The room has AC and food curtains. You can pay by card, though there’s a fee. There were bugs on the bed, including one that was still there after the room had supposedly been cleaned. That brought down my impression of the room and service. When it’s windy, plastic washes up on the beach and it isn’t cleaned right away like at most places in Thailand, though this beach is better than the main one. Also, the mattress is extremely hard and made my back hurt.

The beach felt like heaven, peaceful but close to shops, massages, laundries, and restaurants. The resort itself has a restaurant with very good food, and the staff are friendly. Our rooms were clean and tidy, and we had five wonderful days. I’ll definitely return.
