WET! a Pool Party Hostel by Wild & Wandering

A great mix of a place to relax and a place to party. It’s peaceful when you want downtime, and the facilities are kept spotless. The bathrooms especially always smelled amazing. The staff are in a good mood all the time, and I want to give the volunteers a special mention for being so kind and doing such a great job. Anna, Jenny, Luca, and Isaac made this a once-in-a-lifetime hostel stay for me.

The bar prices were pretty reasonable, and the bartender was kind. The hostel has the best location and wildest vibe of any hostel in Ko Phangan. The DJ and music are top notch, and the pool and foam party make it worth going. Show up and they’ll give out free shots for every activity 😆. If cleanliness matters to you, this probably isn’t your place. It gets really dirty, some rooms don’t have power sockets, the bathrooms clog regularly, and sometimes the water is black.

The hostel is a short walk from the beach, which was handy for the Full Moon Party since we didn’t have to worry about finding a taxi late at night. I had a great time at Wet Party Hostel in Koh Phangan. It’s easy to meet people, and the staff bring a fun social party feel without being pushy. They put on pre-drinks and events that made it easier to connect with other travelers, and they were friendly and helpful whenever I needed something.

The location is really good if you need to be near the Full Moon Party, though there are other places nearby that work too. The drinks from the beer bar were warm and tasted off. They had a proper cooler but said they wouldn’t serve from it because they were “too busy.” It sometimes got lively for maybe an hour before everyone went out, but on other nights it wasn’t busy. We had a couple of power cuts during our four nights, and the bed left my back aching. The place is decent, just not worth the price. I heard higher ratings may be because you get an extra night for a five star review. No need to avoid booking, but don’t expect it to match the description.
