Buddies Loft Samet

The suite seemed bigger than it looked in the pictures, and I slept very well despite the hard bed, which was good quality. The balcony view is beautiful, though partly blocked, so you only see some of the beach. One thing to keep in mind is the location at the beach entrance, which can get noisy. Someone outside was laughing and partying until about 2 a.m. during my night there. Dining comes with a 10% discount, and it’s one of the few places open until 11 p.m., though the kitchen closes around 10 p.m.

I’d recommend the Chicken Noodle Soup, it’s delicious, and there are plenty of other choices. Buddies has a wide selection of Thai and Western food at decent prices, right on Koh Samet’s main beach. The toilets are good too. Lima Bar is next door. You can sit there and order food from Buddies, and they’ll deliver it to your table, so you get the best of both places. Recommended.

We were lucky to have free deck chairs from the hotel, just a few steps from the beach. The rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I love this place, it has everything you need. Highly recommended, and we’ll be back.

Great place to relax, eat, and enjoy the lovely sea views. My only complaint is that French fries come with all the meals. The menu really needs mashed potatoes, especially with the steak options.
