Pandora Resort

Zane deserves a big thank you for such wonderful hospitality. I stay here whenever I come to the island and wouldn’t pick another hotel. For the money, I don’t think anywhere in Koh Samet compares. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and I’ve never had a complaint. Everything has been perfect, so I’ll definitely be back.

The staff made our first Christmas abroad feel special, even arranging a beautiful restaurant for our family meal and helping us book trips, motorbikes, and taxis. They were friendly, informative, and generous with their help. We had a family of five, with children aged 10, 8, and 4, and the rooms gave us plenty of space. Housekeeping and fresh towels were available whenever we asked, including daily if needed. The two pools kept the kids busy enough that we spent some days at the resort. There was a good range of food, with local and Western choices, and the location suited us: a little away from the town and harbour, but close enough to explore the island. We didn’t want to leave Pandora and are already thinking about when to return to Koh Samet.

The rooms and bathrooms were dirty, with hair on the bathroom walls and sand in the beds. One room had ants everywhere, including in the beds. The air conditioning barely worked, and its remote didn’t work either. The location is handy, with the beach not far away on foot, but beyond that this wasn’t a good resort.

The rooms could use a little care, but the staff are really friendly and helpful. There are beautiful beaches a few hundred metres away, and the resort is tucked away while still being an easy walk from restaurants and bars.
