There's potential for this to be a beautiful resort, but it feels like the owner or management company hasn't cared for it in decades. Don't trust the nice photos on booking.com or other sites. When it was built, it may have been lovely, but now it seems like someone's cash cow. None of the amenities were open apart from the poolside restaurants. Everything else was closed and unmanned, with a wooden deck area by reception. Parts of the deck were rotten or had holes, with no warning signs. The pond up the steps from reception had fish, but the artistic statues shown in an online photo were in tatters in the water. The remaining deck around it looked very dangerous, and nothing stopped people from going on it. Our room was terribly dated, with a door handle nearly hanging off, cracked walls, and obvious water damage on the ceiling. Be careful with the balcony sliding doors. They lock themselves if pulled shut, and nobody warned us at check-in. Luckily, our neighbors were out on their balcony, so we were locked out for only half an hour, but it could easily have been longer. We had ant problems several times. After the cleaners changed the bedding, a swarm of small ants still showed up in the bed. Reception gave us bug spray, but it only helped temporarily and the ants returned the next day. We went down for breakfast at 9am after being told it ran from 8.30-10am. The server said the food delivery hadn't arrived yet and told us to come back in half an hour, saying breakfast normally starts at 10am. That's far too late if you're going on an excursion. The breakfast wasn't good anyway. The pancake was badly underdone, the rest was cheap crap, and it cost more than food at any restaurant in the area. Avoid at all costs.
