We were so glad to have Karma Resort as both the wedding venue and our home during that time. Fisherman's Village is within walking distance, and the restaurant food was excellent. The rooms were beautiful, especially the ones with outdoor showers, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. In February 2026, my daughter and son-in-law got married here, with family and friends coming from Australia, South Africa, the USA and elsewhere. The wedding was magical. Karma’s team worked closely with the wedding planner and did everything they could to make the celebration, and our whole stay, memorable. Thank you to Yulia and the amazing staff.

We stayed in a two bedroom villa and it was even better than we expected. There’s so much privacy throughout, and the outdoor bathrooms are just perfect. Thoughtful extras include a quality Bluetooth speaker, a complimentary bar, and nightly citronella service to help keep mosquitoes away. Breakfast is included, delicious, and has options for different tastes and appetites. The restaurant is well priced too, with excellent food. I still think about the pomelo salad, one of the best dishes I’ve had anywhere. I stayed at another very high end resort on this trip, but couldn’t wait to get back to Karma. This is a newer property, closer to the main road and places to eat and shop, and the accommodation was much better and cleaner. The staff and service were excellent as well. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Wauw, the restaurant food was a 10/10 and the service was phenomenal. Vincent, Emmanual, Oma, Thein, and everyone else were so kind, cheerful and helpful. The rooms were perfect too, very clean, with an amazing bed and lovely smells. Nothing more to say than wauw!

I run an Airbnb business myself, so a few things stood out during our stay. The hotel and rooms look very nice, but that isn’t enough to make everything work well. The main pool is much too small for the number of guests, about the size of the villa pools or even smaller. Half of it is shallow like a kids’ paddling pool, and the whole pool area feels undersized. People who aren’t staying at the hotel come in too, which makes it crowded. Removing one villa to make a proper pool and lounging area, or at least limiting outside guests, would help. As it is, it feels like profit comes first. The beachfront villa with a pool costs over $1,000 a night in high season, yet there’s no privacy since people on the beach can see you, and beach umbrellas dominate the view. If that villa is the main reason you’re visiting the island, I’d honestly consider the Maldives instead. It’s cheaper and offers much more privacy. The room with the upper terrace seems like better value. If you’re thinking of a little pool villa, it gets no sun. The air-conditioning filter was completely clogged with dust. I was coughing at night and couldn’t sleep, and it looked as though the filter hadn’t been cleaned since the hotel opened. The guests also affected the atmosphere. I don’t know what kind of karma is going on here, but there seemed to be a lot of loud, show-off types. Food was typical hotel fare, nothing special. We spent three days without the hotel breakfast before and that was a much better choice, since town has plenty of good breakfast places. The hotel’s Pad Thai was worse than any street version, even ones around 70 baht. Jet skis run right beside the beach, making it hard to relax and enjoy the surroundings. I worried one might hit me because they operate so close to shore.
