Every now and then you find a real gem, and this is one if you get to MaeNam on Koh Samui. The owners are wonderful, and the kitchen makes great food with produce from the hydroponic garden. The head cook serves American, Nepalese, and Thai dishes, with one or two helpers who know their way around the kitchen too. Everyone does their best to make you feel welcome, and the resort is very inexpensive if you want your money to go further. It's a bungalow with no pool, though, and the beach is only a few minutes away on foot. My time here was awesome. The pictures can say more than I can.

It was hard to find a room during high season, but the owner found me a cool, comfortable room with a fan. The next night she let me know another room had opened up, so I booked that one. She also runs a restaurant and cooked for me even though it had already closed. Great service from a very kind owner who really wants to help. People should check this place out.

We ended up extending our stay and it was easy to arrange. The owners and staff are genuinely helpful and warm, and there are friendly dogs and lovely rabbits around the resort. Thanks to everyone for looking after us so well ❤️ I'd absolutely recommend staying here and will be back next time.

The rooms are clean and have what you need for a short stay, though they're not luxurious. What really stands out is the hydroponic lettuce garden in the middle of the rooms and bungalows. You can pick salad greens yourself and have them with dishes from the restaurant. We ate some great meals there, and also tried Babu's fine Indian restaurant next door.

The owners and staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. My room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, a nice place to unwind after being at the beach. It's an easy walk to the beach, and nightlife is close enough to enjoy, while the hotel itself stays quiet enough for a good night's sleep. I'd happily come back and recommend it for the comfort, convenient location, and friendly service.
