Chaweng turned out to be our favorite part of the island. We rented a car and drove all around, and while people had warned us it was a party area, we loved its lively atmosphere, the lovely beaches, and the authentic feel. Some other beaches felt like they could be anywhere in the world. The hotel's beach may be shallow, but the views are the best on the island, and the jungle setting feels gorgeous and premium. I spent years researching hotels for the dream holiday I wanted, and this one was exactly right. We were treated like royalty for my 30th birthday. The staff were incredibly attentive, decorated our room, and brought me a cake. The hotel itself is stunning, and the room was perfect, spacious, and had a jacuzzi bath that made a lovely end to our evenings. We also liked the app for messages, offers, alerts, and booking housekeeping. The restaurant was amazing. We loved the breakfast buffet, and the beach barbecue evening felt like a dream, one of the best things we did. On our last day, we tried the spa and had the best massage I've ever had, with stunning views. Using the hotel's kayak for free was great fun too. We took the free shuttle to the sister hotel to see its beach, but preferred this hotel's location and beach, which felt more like a true Thai experience. We've made memories here that will last a lifetime, and I couldn't recommend it more.

The setting balances a rainforest feel with beachfront access really well. From the moment we arrived, it felt peaceful and immersed in greenery, yet the ocean was only a few steps away. The pool area, shaped to resemble a natural rock pool, blends into the surroundings and is a lovely place to relax. Our room was impressive, with a private terrace for slow mornings or quiet evenings. The unique jacuzzi bath added a sense of privacy and indulgence, and many of the villas also have private pools. Muang Samui Villas & Suites is right next to Chaweng Regent Beach Resort, so Chaweng Beach is close by, as are nearby attractions. Central Festival Samui, shops, and bars are all within easy walking distance. The daily shuttle to Royal Muang in the north is a great bonus and gives you the chance to explore more of the island or have a twin-centre stay. A peaceful, luxurious experience with convenient access to Chaweng's energy.

The area is lively, with restaurants and bars nearby and easy to reach on foot, yet the resort itself stays so quiet. Walking along the beach in either direction, we thought this resort had the most beautiful beach. The place was even prettier than the photos, with a little jungle feel, spacious clean rooms, Thai design, and so many lovely details. We were truly amazed by the room and surroundings. A hidden gem we recommend with all our hearts 🥰

The location is great, right on the beach and across from a restaurant and bar. Rooms are spacious and clean, and everyone was welcoming, attentive, friendly, and helpful. Please book through the hotel, as they give a discount. I missed my flight, and receptionist pinky and pa pang looked after me. They helped arrange another taxi to the airport, brought me refreshments because I was hot and stressed, and chatted with me to take my mind off things. I'll stay here every time I'm in Koh samui.

Even in the middle of a bustling city, Muang Samui has a calm, serene feel throughout your stay. The hotel has its own beauty and offers a relaxing place to stay. Its staff are one of its greatest strengths, with great teamwork. Definitely one of the best places to stay at Chaweng beach.
