The location worked well for us: the beach was 5-10 minutes away, and the mall and lake took about 20 minutes to reach. Our ground-floor room near reception was still pretty quiet, and it was a good size and clean. The bed and pillows were fairly comfortable, and we always had hot water. We didn’t use the pool, but it’s right beside the hotel driveway and road, which may not be obvious in the photos. We booked three nights through Agoda for 500 per night, then decided on the last day to add one more night. Reception agreed quickly, and we paid 600 that night. The staff were kind and arranged a private van to maenam samui pier for our last morning, since we were worried the marathon and ultra marathon might close roads to public transport. First they quoted 500, then told us it would be 400 before we left, which was better than Grab. A pleasant stay and good value for the price :)

For 540, we got a big, clean room with a private shower and two single beds, plus breakfast for both of us. I asked around, but couldn’t find another hostel or hotel with a better price. Breakfast came with fresh orange juice, coffee or tea, fruit, eggs cooked how you like, and toast with butter and jelly. If eggs and toast aren’t your thing, you can get cereal with yogurt instead. The staff were really friendly and always tried to help. Laundry was convenient too: 50 baht per kilo without ironing or 60 with it, usually ready the next morning. If I’m back in samui, I’ll stay here again.

The neighborhood feels quite urban, which isn’t really my vibe, but it has a great cooking school just down the block and a very good massage place on the corner. The room was clean, had AC and hot water, and cost 500 baht. It was very, very quiet.

After four nights, the main downsides were weak shower pressure and not enough toilet paper replenishment. Otherwise, it was reasonable for the price: decent-sized rooms with en-suite bathrooms, international TV, and AC, plus an average breakfast and free parking. The location is handy for good restaurants, a small outdoor market, plenty of bars, and massages. It’s a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the airport and the two main piers.
