The rooms are nice and the location is great, but the noise made this place a nightmare for sleeping. A café attached to the building has a live performer every night, playing loudly until 1 a.m. Then the bar just a few feet away runs karaoke until 3 a.m. If you don’t party and want to sleep at a reasonable time, this is a total disruption to a normal schedule. Housekeeping also has to be requested. That might have been manageable, but the staff didn’t speak English, so questions led to a scramble to find the owner, whose English was maybe 15% capacity. Even getting a receipt for my deposit nearly turned into an argument. I’d strongly recommend another place if you want to be in bed before 3 a.m.

As someone who also works in hotels, I found the check-in staff awful in both their attitude and their language. The room had no soundproofing, and doors opening in other rooms kept startling me awake, so I couldn’t sleep properly. The water stopped working at night. When I told the staff, they said the water was gone and there was nothing they could do, that I’d have to wait until morning. Then they shut the door and left me with the problem. Is that acceptable? The accommodation was cheap, but with service this poor, I’d recommend staying somewhere else.
