Rummana Boutique Resort

BTW, I’m 11-year-old Darcy, writing this from my dad’s account. The staff were really friendly and made me, my dad, and his girlfriend feel at home as soon as we arrived. I loved getting up and jumping straight into the big pool, which had a great view of the beach. There was a great choice of food and drinks at breakfast, too. The wildlife was amazing: frogs, snails with shells we’d never seen before, a few really cute cats and dogs, and even some caterpillars. This hotel was FAB-U-LESSSSSS!

Our family booked three rooms and had a great eight-night stay. Everyone was extremely happy with the resort, especially the amazing food and complimentary buffet breakfast. We had beers and cocktails every afternoon, and the cocktail selection was very good. Happy hour every day was awesome. The location was perfect, near activities and a great motorcycle hire place out front, but away from the loud party riff-raff. The staff were so kind. We got to know Shen quite well, and he did everything he could to look after us and made our time at Rummana very special. That man deserves a pay rise. Thanks again for an amazing stay.

The location is a real plus, in a quiet part of Lamai right by the beach, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was pretty standard. The furniture in our room felt a little dated, and it didn’t quite meet Western four-star expectations. Happy Hour was disappointing too: only four cocktails were available for the Buy 1 Get 1 Free deal, and they tasted weak and poor quality.

We loved how peaceful it was here, even though the busy party streets were only 5-10 minutes away. You could enjoy the quiet without feeling far from things. The grounds feel like a little jungle, with the pool beside the restaurant and right on the beach. Getting here took about 25 minutes from the airport; they can pick you up, or you can use Grab. We also rented scooters without leaving a deposit. Simply beautiful, and we’d happily return.
