Samui Resotel Beach Resort

We stayed in an Ocean Pool Villa. It was spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable, with a great view of the beach and easy access to it. Lounging beside the private pool felt wonderfully relaxing, almost like being on the beach. Most of the staff were friendly and pleasant, and they handled anything we asked for without fuss or hesitation. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and was very good, though not the best I've had. The resort sits at the quieter end of Chaweng Beach, which didn't bother me, but anyone wanting to be closer to the action may want to reconsider.

Boom, the hotel customer service rep, was an absolute gem. She and her colleagues made the stay much better. She was always smiling and upbeat, and went above and beyond to help us with what we needed. The service was excellent and met our needs. Our room was a good size, had a nice view, and was kept clean and refreshed. The pool was great, and the small gym was enough for a quick workout. We were very happy with the resort's beachfront access. It's a great base for visiting the city and surrounding area, and renting scooters to tour the city was no problem. We had a great stay.

The rooms are okay, and the location is perfect, right on the beach. There were very few service staff. Smoking on balconies is an issue for non-smokers. Sometimes, instead of enjoying the beautiful sea views and fresh air, smoke comes inside and you have to shut the balcony.

We spent seven nights here in early September and had superb weather. The staff were welcoming and easygoing, and check-in and checkout were hassle-free. Mr Chow is a good fella. It’s peaceful but still close to the good stuff, and the island is small enough to get around by scooter. Would happily stay again.
