The Gardens

This was our second time booking this small boutique residence, and we’ll definitely come back for a third. The garden and pool area were immaculate, and the staff were attentive and flexible about when the House was cleaned. The beautifully decorated Town House was everything we wanted: a peaceful retreat in a great spot, with bars and restaurants close enough when we felt like going out.

Everything seemed fine until checkout, when management tried to charge me more than my deposit for supposed “damages,” including used towels. They gave me no receipts or valid documentation. I stayed calm and asked for proof, but got emotional pressure, threats of police, and no explanation. There was also noise: the tennis court next door starts at 6 AM and is very loud. Guests were constantly noisy too, with kids screaming and junkies yelling at night. This definitely isn’t peaceful. A very unprofessional experience, and I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

The Gardens feels more like serviced apartments than a hotel, and many owners return regularly, giving it a friendly community feel. It works especially well for two couples or a family wanting an independent stay. There are restaurants and shops to choose from within a walk of less than ten minutes, and public transport is readily available. Lanna resort also offers good value transfers to nearby points of interest at set times through the day, for 50TBH/person. Our unit had two spacious, equally sized double bedrooms, each with an en suite, good wardrobe space, and nice lighting. The front bedroom had a balcony overlooking the pool. The lounge had two comfortable sofas, and the kitchen and dining area had a large fridge and everything you’d need in a normal kitchen. The little complex is right next door to the Lanna resort. The properties are beautifully decorated to a high standard and have great facilities. Rooms are light and comfortable, the grounds are well maintained, and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

The spacious rooms and facilities made for a pleasant stay, and the gardens and pool were beautiful. Lanna next door is just as lovely, and we could use its pool and restaurant too. There were some drawbacks: litter, an unattended landscape, dogs, low water pressure, and a very steep staircase in the villa. Even so, we had a very nice experience.
