Cafe Del Sol Guesthouse

We had a lovely dinner there on NY's eve. The place is cosy, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The pizza was very tasty, and the chocolate mousse was top notch. I’d return to Cafe del Sol just for that. The Jumbo Mix Grill was disappointing. It wasn’t enough for two people as described, and the red meat wasn’t impressive. The tiramisu was odd too, with dense sponge cake instead of traditional Savoyardi cookies. I’d recommend a visit, but be selective about what you order.

The chocolate fondant with whipped cream and ice cream was really tasty. The schnitzel was amazing, and the vegan burger with Beyond meat is the best we’ve tried in Asia so far. People on the island say they have the best pizza around, and they were definitely right. Great food!

We ate here about six times over the week. Five meals made us more than happy, and we were satisfied with the other one too. Most of the food is great, though now and then there’s something you may not like or that doesn’t meet your standards.

The vegetarian breakfast is worth recommending: potatoes, spinach, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, eggs, and toast. My cappuccino was delicious too. It’s a simple, modern restaurant with excellent service, though the busy road to the harbor right outside makes it quite noisy.
