In Touch Resort

I only stayed one night, even though I’d booked six. A large cockroach showed up in the bathroom that first night. Staff helped kill it, but said this was “normal on the island,” which made me worry there might be more. I told reception straight away that I didn’t want to stay on. They said I’d be reimbursed and asked me to come back the next day for the money. When I returned, the woman I spoke with, who turned out to be the owner, refused any refund. She wouldn’t discuss it, explain the change, or look for a compromise. I even asked for half back and she flatly said no, then eventually walked out of the room. The employees were polite and tried to help, but clearly had no authority. Once payment had been made, the owners seemed to have no interest in fairness or the customer experience. Given the hygiene problem and the lack of accountability when something goes wrong, I can’t recommend this hotel.

I wasn’t expecting much, but ended up having a comfortable, pleasant stay. The room was spacious and everything worked well. It’s close to the bars and restaurants, yet far enough from the noise. The resort restaurant had good food at reasonable prices, so I’d recommend staying here. One thing to know: mosquitoes swarm after sunset, so use plenty of repellent.

Our studio had a lovely outdoor terrace, and the hotel restaurant dinner was delicious. It’s good value for money. The room was spacious, comfortable, and peaceful, with everything close by while still staying quiet. Staff were unobtrusive but caring.

We’ve stayed here twice, and it’s one of our favourite hotels. The pool is amazing, always clean, and there are plenty of sunbeds. Rooms are spacious, the staff are really efficient, and the restaurant is fab too. I’d highly recommend it if you’re visiting Koh Tao.
