Boonsiam Hotel

I didn’t sleep at all, and the next day’s plans had to go. I was meant to ride my motorbike to Koh Lanta and back, a long trip that needs focus and alertness. After the night here I felt exhausted and disoriented, almost mildly intoxicated from lack of sleep, so riding would have been unsafe. One night derailed my trip and schedule. The noise started with the person upstairs. At 2 a.m., every step came through like a deep bass thump directly above my bed, heavy and constant, for about an hour. It began again at 7. The guest next door was snoring clearly all night, and at 7 I could hear another room’s shower, even the water hitting the floor. The sound insulation is practically nonexistent. I’ve slept better in shared hostel dorms. Here you pay for a hotel room with walls that seem to work like speakers. The air conditioner makes a loud, heavy mechanical drone, even on its lowest of three settings, so you either overheat or sleep beside a noisy machine. The curtains don’t block the daylight, and the room fills with sun as soon as it rises. The place is outdated, like the 1970s, cold and sterile, with no effort toward comfort or atmosphere. In 2026, there’s no WiFi in the rooms either. For me, this was one of the worst nights I’ve had in any accommodation. If sleep, next-day plans, or a tight travel schedule matter to you, don’t risk it. A single night here can ruin your trip.

There’s no WiFi in the rooms, which is the biggest downside. The hotel is decent, but everything feels old, like it was a good place years ago, and the property seems as if it could run out within a few years.

In central krabi, the hotel is old but comfortable. We checked two rooms, and the one on the fifth floor was much nicer. My room was clean and everything worked.

The price was okay, but you get what you pay for: holes in the towels, no WiFi, and cockroaches in the bathroom.
