Thip Thip Hotel

It’s quiet here, and the walk into the city center is doable, though the hotel is a bit farther out. The receptionist was friendly and really helpful. They didn’t have an iron or a knife, which could come in handy for clothes or fruit from the local markets.

After all the stops we made in Thailand, this was the nicest place at that price. Everything was clean and nice.

The room itself was spacious, clean, and had very comfortable mattresses. But the hallway with the glass windows was really dirty, and the shower mat had stains that looked like makeup. We arrived in the evening to reception staff who seemed bored and unmotivated. The outside gives a good first impression, then that feeling disappears as soon as you walk in. Our room was on the third floor, with stairs and no elevator, which raises the question of how older or disabled guests are meant to get up there. It was okay overall, but the hotel is somewhat out of the way, so you need a vehicle.

It’s a new, clean, spacious hotel with a nice pool. It’s a little out of the way, but the price is very reasonable. There are good pizza and noodle places nearby, so the location wasn’t a big problem.
