The room felt roomy and clean, though the mattress was a little too firm for me. My husband liked it, though. I really enjoyed sitting outside in the coffee area, looking over the river. It was peaceful and romantic, and the place has a lot of Thai charm. The host was so lovely. Papacraft is just up the road, with unusual gifts to browse and workshops for 250 baht.

We stayed in a small fan room for 300,-. It may be worth talking to them directly instead of booking online. There’s tea and coffee in the morning, plus a little patio that opens onto the river. The location is right in the center by the water, and the landlady was friendly and helpful.

The café next door makes the best coffee, and it was easy to relax by the river here. The place is tucked away and quiet, even though it’s right on the water and only about five minutes from the walking street and night market. Everyone on staff was friendly, and they arranged a great driver for the temples farther out. We only stayed one night, but Lampang had so much to see that we couldn’t just spend the day lounging here.

The beds were comfortable and the showers were great. It’s a prime spot for the weekend walking street and the character of Talad Gao Road, where there are beautiful old buildings all around.

It was quiet and comfortable, and the price was good. From here it’s easy to walk around Lampang, including to the 100 and 200 years old bridges. The Wang river is right nearby, as are the weekend market and lots of well-known local restaurants and cafes.
