Smaids Room

We had a lovely stay with the family last week. The rooms are simple, but they were fine for a good night’s sleep, and the price felt fair. Breakfast is basic and healthy, though the thoughtful little touches in how it’s prepared make it feel special. The service is simple too, but clearly done with care.

It’s a quiet spot, which was a plus, though a little out of the way unless you have a car. The rooms are tidy and basic, and the staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast is a simple setup with a different cooked option each day.

At 4pm Monday 12th, I waited at reception, called out for service, and phoned several times, but nobody was there. I eventually gave up and found another hotel nearby. I saw your reply afterward. We called from our DTAC number, but... thanks.

Getting to the center of Lampang takes about 5-7 minutes by car or motorbike. I found it more comfortable to stay here than rent a cramped room in town. It’s a relaxed, convenient location if you have your own transport, and there’s free parking. The hotel is very nice for the price, with clean rooms and staff who are super friendly and helpful. One thing to watch out for if you’re walking around: there are lots of stray dogs, like in most Thai villages, and some might be aggressive.
