Riverside Guesthouse Lampang is a peaceful place right by the river, with greenery and soft northern Thai light all around. The sound of the water and the setting make it easy to slow down and settle in. The traditional rooms use local materials and craftsmanship, with thoughtful details that reflect Thai culture without feeling staged. They're comfortable too, and the whole place feels calm and carefully put together. Cleanliness is impeccable, with nothing seeming rushed or overlooked. Lorenza Macco runs the guesthouse with her family, and their hospitality feels sincere and personal. They make guests feel welcomed, cared for, and remembered. Every interaction shows real pride in the place and respect for the people staying there. Breakfast deserves a mention of its own. The food is fresh, thoughtfully chosen, and often locally sourced, with comforting, balanced flavors. Each dish is prepared and presented with a lot of care. It feels like part of the guesthouse's approach to hospitality, generous and respectful of tradition. Nothing here feels forced. Riverside Guesthouse Lampang brings together comfort, culture, and personal hospitality in a way that's rare. Set in a 100-year-old teak mansion, the place has creaky floors, but that's part of its charm. From your own balcony there's a splendid river view, and the gardens are gorgeous and well kept. It's close to everything, including the weekend night markets. The friendly staff made the stay too, from the coffee shop out front to the guesthouse team who were willing to help with anything. I didn't need extras like a pool or TVs, and it suited me and the other guests very well. Thanks, kind Riverside folk.

A small garage with tools for fixing minor bike problems is a really handy touch for travelers on bikes. The family running this charming guesthouse are very friendly, and it's right beside the river. Breakfast comes in a room with lovely water views, and the café turns into a cocktail bar in the evening. Rooms are simple and basic. The mattress was the firmest I've ever slept on, but it's fine for one night.

A lovely place to unwind, local and personal, in a one-of-a-kind traditional Thai house that's 106 years old. The hosts are really friendly, and the coffee shop and bar on site are incredible.

I've stayed at this resort 3-4 times over the past few years, and things have been okay each time. As far as I remember, the beds have always been hard, though I haven't tried every room. I don't sleep well on them and wish they were softer.
