There’s a nice place to sit by the fields and little ponds a bit farther away, which was relaxing. The room itself was small and felt too expensive for its size. Noise carried on all day because there’s a factory about 20 meters from the room, where work was going on constantly, so it wasn’t comfortable. Breakfast was very basic, just water and no coffee. Rice or a Thai dish was available if you wanted it.

For a stay in a traditional Thai house, I’d recommend this place. The pictures say a lot.

The cottage sits by a sculpture pond just outside the city, and the staff are friendly. They offer a free ride to the train station. Amenities are limited, so bring your own food and drinks or head into town. Now and then you can hear the sculpture makers working.
