There’s free coffee in the lobby, and it’s about a 10-minute walk beside the Mekong to walking street. The place is clean, quiet, and inexpensive.

Comfy bed, fair price, and free bicycles to rent. The river is nearby.

My room had good WiFi, a fridge, a decent bed, and plenty of space. There’s a little balcony with a stool and ashtray for smokers. Walk-ins were 500b, a bit less on Agoda. There’s no English sign, so look for the pale pink building beside Wayla Cafe. It’s around a 20-minute walk to the clock tower, and the street has a few small hotels and restaurants. The restaurant next door played loud music until 10:30pm, loud enough to keep me from reading in my room. It did go quiet overnight, so sleeping was fine, but the noise made it hard to relax earlier in the evening. The hot water in my room was barely lukewarm, the door scraped the floor and only opened about a third of the way, and there were quite a few tiny ants. I had to turn sideways to get in while carrying my luggage. For nearby basics, head to the main street, turn right, and walk five minutes toward the hospital. There’s a 711, a pharmacy, a few bakeries, and several small restaurants, including one with a nice pork noodle soup that’s perfect for breakfast on a cold morning. The rooms could use more maintenance.
