Baan Aree Private Pool

I stayed for two nights and had an excellent experience. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the villa was great, with everything you might need.

A luxurious private villa in a great spot. Just right for relaxing.

The quiet setting was one of the few things we liked about Baan Aree Villa. The beach, shops, and mountains were all less than 20 minutes away by car, delivery through Foodpanda and Grab was easy, and the spacious house gave us plenty of privacy. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they let us arrive about 1.5 hours early. We never saw the owners. But after six nights, we left disappointed. The villa felt very run-down, and we wouldn’t recommend it. At around €140 a night, the price didn’t seem reasonable by Thai standards. The photos also look quite old: the trees in front of the house are now much bigger, perhaps even twice their size. The kitchen was dirty and poorly equipped, with too few matching plates, cutlery, and glasses. There was only one cooking pot, and it was so dirty we didn’t use it. The fridge was far too small, had mold in the door, and urgently needed replacing. All the faucets were loose, and the bathroom shower fixtures were rusty. Soap dispensers were empty or didn’t work, and there were no hand towels or dish towels. We were told the garbage would be emptied every day, but it wasn’t. The pool was mostly in the shade, and the dense trees meant leaves quickly covered the area again after it was cleaned.

The hosts were so welcoming and friendly, and the villa sits in a beautiful patch of lush greenery. The pool was just the right temperature in the heat. It’s also away from the noise along the beaches of Ao Nang, which made it a lovely place to stay.
