City Room Terminal 10 Hotel

I wouldn't recommend staying here for just one night, unless you have a Thai SIM and speak Thai. I was passing through and stayed one night. At 8 p.m. there was no concierge at reception, so you have to call, and he didn't speak English at all. The air con remote didn't work, and neither did the hot water heater.

It's worth asking for a higher-floor room because the street is busy, though that's Bangkok for you. The hotel and room were in decent condition. Staff were practically nowhere to be found, and we handed our key card to the parking attendant when we left. Our 1,000 THB deposit arrived in our Thai bank account the next day without any trouble.

When we arrived, there was no receptionist, so the security guard handled the room. We booked a single bed but were given a twin room. At checkout in the morning, we waited and then had to look for staff ourselves for 10 minutes. Once we found someone, we could check out and get the deposit back. If the deposit is transferred, it can take until evening to be returned. Luckily, I had read the reviews below and paid cash. They couldn't issue the accommodation bill I needed for reimbursement, because the place is registered as an individual. The one good thing is that a keycard is required to access each floor. It would be a good idea to read the different reviews before staying, so you understand how this place operates.

Why does this place cost 790 baht? There was nothing impressive about it: the room and bathroom were tiny, and there was no staff service at all. Parking was limited, though the security system was surprisingly good. Checkout dragged on, and I had to call to get staff to come back. Getting the deposit refunded took forever, even after I called repeatedly. What's the point of taking a 1,000 baht deposit if it takes this long to return? Think carefully before booking.
