The bungalow is quite basic, with a mosquito net, a very small fridge, and a nice balcony with a hammock. The water pressure was pretty poor, though that seems to be the case across the island. There was no cleaning during our stay, but that was fine for us. Whenever we asked, the owner was kind, friendly, and helpful. We first booked four nights and then added three more. It’s not on the beach, but being in the middle of the island worked perfectly for us, with beaches just a short drive in either direction.

Really good value for the price. The rooms are clean, with a fridge and hot water, and the owners are very friendly.

Breakfast is available, though it wasn’t included in the price. The bungalows are much better than most beachfront places we’ve tried, but this place itself isn’t on the beach. Rooms come with air conditioning or a fan, a hot shower, and a small kitchen with a fridge, kettle, cups, and cutlery. WiFi is free. The garden is nicely maintained, and there are lots of restaurants and local shops a short walk away. You can hire a bike or scooter, and the owner also offers taxi rides.

The mother’s 30 baht chicken rice curry for breakfast is excellent, and the people are nice. I also got a good rate on a rental scooter, a new Honda Click for 150 baht. My bungalow was large and very nice, and the WiFi was strong because he gave me my own router. The hot water didn’t work at all during my week in a fan bungalow. They do seem to try hard to keep guests happy, so I’m sure they’ll fix it.
