N.S. Mountain Beach Resort

I’m from the UK and traveled all over Thailand, and this was my favorite stay. It was peaceful, but still close to Ao Nang for night markets and nightlife. The accommodation was stunning and clean, and the staff were incredible. I left my charger in the room, and the lady who works there sent it to my hotel in Bangkok without even letting me pay the postage. That’s customer service on another level. I stayed in February and had been meaning to write this review. I’m traveling again next year and plan to come back to Avare with my family. Thank you! Book this hotel, it’s absolutely beautiful! ❤️

The pool itself was lovely and clearly well cared for, and the grounds had palms, plants, sun loungers, and no rubbish. The street nearby was a different story, with litter and crumbling house remains. We had two rooms beside the pool, but cleanliness inside was poor. There was dirt on the light switches, fridge, and mirror, and the old bathroom fittings, tiles, tap, and shower were rusty and seemed close to falling apart. The curtains were very old too. Ants were in both rooms, on a wall in one and in the bed in the other. Staff didn't get rid of them, and I don't think they even noticed while cleaning. We paid a very high price, and the stay was nowhere near worth it.

The Avare House was just what we hoped for: a quiet, relaxing place to spend a week. We stayed seven nights and found the staff extremely friendly and ready to help with any request. We'd happily recommend it if a peaceful vacation spot is what you're after.

The location was quiet, but town was only five minutes away. I stayed four days and found the room very clean, with the owners being exceptionally friendly. My room opened right onto the pool, which was perfect. They also rent scooters at reasonable prices, an easier and cheaper way to get around than taking taxis. I'd definitely stay again.
