Breakfast was delicious, and the beds in the bamboo hut were comfortable, with a fan. There's a shared spot where you can sit and relax with a nice nonalcoholic drink. We loved how unique and cozy the place felt, quite different from other stays in Pai. It's peaceful but convenient, within walking distance of town while still in a quiet area. The owner is kind and helpful. We already want to come back.

Keep in mind there's just one shared bathroom. The price was the same as places with solid walls, a private bathroom, and an owner who seemed more mindful of customers, which surprised me. We had a strange experience with the owner, who eventually hid somewhere instead of handling our dissatisfaction, and wouldn't cancel and refund the second night. If noise bothers you, I really wouldn't recommend staying here. The hut has no soundproofing and sits right beside a busy road and a youth hostel. There's no fence to block the traffic or loud conversations, and earplugs didn't help.

I'm writing this to help other travellers. We booked several nights, but after a bad night we got only a partial refund, which is the one thing that earned a star. I don't understand the four-plus Google rating. The bungalows are tiny, with straw walls and no soundproofing, and some apparently have no walls. They call them traditional, but I found them awful, and there was room for only a very old bed. No comfort, no toilet or bathroom in the bungalows. All of them share one basic shower, one toilet, and one washbasin at the bottom of the garden. The place is right by a busy road, so a quiet stay wasn't possible, and the noise was intense. I saw a price of 1479 bhats today, which seems like a joke. A fair price would be 200 or 300 bhats. Please rethink it and get back to reality. I regret trusting the flattering Google comments and getting taken in like a beginner.

We loved this place! The boutique, café, and surroundings were all so nice. We only stayed one night, but came back the next day for breakfast. Try the yoghurt bowl and coffee, they're amazing. I'd love to visit again someday!
