The Pai Pub

We’ve been loving this place while visiting Pai from London. Matt and Craig are two brilliant English guys who make you feel welcome and looked after. The pub has a roomy interior, plenty of sports on, beer and Guinness imported from Ireland, and those Massaman sausage rolls are so good. Walk over, put your feet up, and enjoy a Guinness or a few. Thanks for taking care of us, boys!

The Australian lamb burger was dry and tasteless. We ordered food without knowing the chef wasn't there, so the staff made it themselves, and the hygiene was non-existent. They also spent more time sitting on their phones than giving decent service. Stick to local Thai eateries.

The workers did come out to help after the marble table broke while my partner was resting his arm on it. It seemed worn already, since he was just sitting there relaxed, and there was glass everywhere, but nobody checked whether we were okay. We apologized and asked if we could help, got no answer, then apologized again while hovering before leaving as we'd planned to anyway. As we walked off, the owner sarcastically said, “yeah fine, thanks for helping us clear up guys.” It felt unnecessary. The place could have been lovely, but the staff came across as rude.

The food really tastes like home, and the Guinness is the real deal. Matt, Craig, Som, Eric, Sharna and the rest of the crew are all legends. Great pub.
