Hotel Labaris Khao Yai

Even though we visited during the festive season, the resort never felt busy. It’s close to Khao Yai National Park, with plenty of cafés and restaurants around. Check-in took about 15-20 minutes. The staff were polite and helpful, and offered free things to do while we waited: painting for kids, a five-minute massage trial, and non-motorized rides for children. All were complimentary. Since we booked directly, we also got food and spa discount coupons plus another welcome drink. Our room was spacious and had the amenities we needed. We could request a baby bathtub. We were on the roadside, so passing cars could be heard, though nights were still quiet. There’s a playground and a mini café, the rabbit café, making it a very kid-friendly place. Breakfast had lots of tasty choices, including a fondue corner for kids. At dinner, Fable Feast had excellent service, attentive staff who could suggest dishes, and a live band. The spa was great as well. I tried the 90-minute full-body massage and thought it was well worth the price. We had a great time here, and I highly recommend the resort.

I came on my own, though it seems like a great choice for couples and families too. The design and vibe feel pretty different from the usual five-star brands, and I really enjoyed the steaks. There are a few interesting things nearby, including other hotels if you want to try different food, and the national park is close. The staff were all lovely and gave great service. My one gripe was the taxi pricing, which seemed quite high compared with what other four- and five-star hotels in Khao Yai charge.

The breakfast had loads to choose from, though unfortunately my eggs benedict came out undercooked. That aside, the friendly staff made this a fantastic stay. Our room was roomy and stocked with amenities, including their tasty custom tea. The grounds have lots of photo-worthy spots, with a rabbit cafe and a pool area with waterslides for kids. The building itself is stunningly designed like a maze, and I especially liked the checkerboard bathroom patterns. It’s easily the most unique hotel in Khao Yai.

We took our two children, and there was so much for them to do, from cake decorating to the splash pad. They especially loved the chocolate station at breakfast, where there was a wide variety of food. The restaurant meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were attentive and considerate, checking in whenever we crossed paths. Hotel Labaris also has a great location, just 15 minutes from the national park and other attractions. I highly recommend staying here if you're going to Khao Yai.
