Te Mata Glamping Khao Yai

The staff were all very friendly, and I’d like to come back. I’ve stayed at several Te Mata villas before, and Royal, where I stayed this time for two nights and three days, felt more geared toward glamping. Its grounds are hilly, and the inn sits high up, with invigorating views. Birds chirping all around made it easy to relax, and we didn’t need to go anywhere during our stay. Pets are allowed, with a dog run where dogs can run around freely. The main downside was the number of stray dogs. They barked and fought around the property from dusk until dawn, which got annoying. Maybe that’s why earplugs are provided in the rooms. The sleeping area is a tent house, while the shower and toilet are in separate buildings. In the middle of the night, having to open several zippers inside the tent to get out was a hassle. A door for easier access outside would have helped. The other facilities have indoor showers and toilets, and doors leading outside, so Royal may be the only one set up this way.

We stayed in accommodation with six beds, surrounded by trees.
