The room felt dark and worn out, with old brown furniture, messy paintwork, and a bathroom that had a leaking hose and a cheap-hostel feel. A green covering outside the window hid the already depressing view of the backyard. I’m not sure why they call this place a boutique hotel, because it doesn’t feel like one at all. I later found better places in nicer areas for less money. If you want somewhere pleasant to return to after a day out, I’d look elsewhere. There are plenty of other options around.

The staff made us feel at home, even though we were far from it. They were kind, welcoming, and treated us really well. I’d definitely come back, and I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Patong, Phuket.

I stayed five nights, and the rooms were clean and well equipped. The owners were around and easy to deal with, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They have motorbikes for rent, can arrange a taxi at reception anytime, and will also set up tours at a reasonable price. The owners had only taken over on the first of that month, but they already seemed to know how to run a hospitality business. Keep it up, A&J. I’ll recommend you to friends and family.
