Full stop. Hostel

For 130B, the cheapest dorm bed, I found it very good value. The room, bed, sheets, and toilet were clean, there was a hot shower and a fridge in the room, and A/C was included. There's a shared microwave and hot water on the third floor. The staff were friendly, you can rent a motorbike here for 200B a day, and room cleaning is FREE every day. Stay three days and get one free. The location is so-so, at least a 20-minute walk to downtown. The bed is hard, and after ten days my back was really sore. There's no common area to meet people and no balcony for drying laundry, so I brought a string and made a drying spot. I recommend it for being nice and clean, and worth the money.

The building is super old, and the hostel is far from the beach. Walking there felt a bit dangerous because there was no sidewalk, so we were right beside cars and motorbikes. The neighborhood is crowded, but our room was quiet, which was the best part of the stay and let us sleep well. The receptionist was really nice and always ready to help. I'd recommend it for just one night, mainly for the price.

I had a double room that was big enough, with a nice private bathroom. The problem was the noise from the main street. The windows are thin and don't close properly, so traffic was audible even late at night, with lots of motorbikes going by. Bring earplugs if you want a good night's sleep.

I had to wait 30 minutes to check in when I arrived. The reception is outside the hostel, and most of the time there's nobody there to help guests. After 8pm, the staff leave and won't answer the phone, even if there's an emergency. This isn't a traveler-friendly hostel.
