Kokotel Phuket Patong

We stayed with our kids for a family trip from 28-31 May 2026. It was our first time in Phuket, so we were nervous at first, but Kokotel support quickly confirmed our breakfast when the booking agent wasn't responding, and the warm welcome helped us settle down. The front desk staff were friendly and gave us useful advice about where to park our rental car. Our room was on the top floor, up one flight of stairs, which was manageable even with the kids. The hotel looked just like the booking photos and was clean and tidy. The kids especially loved the cute Kokotel sheep design everywhere, including on the bedsheets. Breakfast was nice and met the hotel's standard, and we enjoyed it each morning. One night, after a day trip, we came back to find the room door locked by the inside double lock, though nobody was in the room. We don't know how it happened, perhaps the door closing caused it. The front desk helped us, including the same woman who checked us in and a colleague. We tried several tools and looked up similar situations on YouTube before finally getting it open. They offered another room early on, but our things were inside and we needed to change after a full day out sweating. It was an unusual experience, and I hope they'll be able to handle it if it happens to another room or guest. We really appreciated how hard the staff worked to resolve the problem. I felt sorry for the front desk woman, though she and the team were very helpful during our stay. I wish I'd learned her name so I could praise her properly, but she wasn't on shift when we checked out. There was a slight smell near the toilet and bathroom after flushing, maybe something with the drain or pipes needing a clean. One plug by the bunk bed didn't work, but the technician fixed it the same day after we reported it. The double lock also needs attention in case this happens to someone else. The kids enjoyed the pool, and I saw staff checking and recording its pH early in the morning, which was great. There are lots of amenities nearby and most are within walking distance. Our family loved staying at this blue sheep hotel and enjoyed the vacation. We'll come back, and recommend it to family and friends.
