The guesthouse is conveniently close to the beach, and the owner was welcoming and kind at check-in. The room was okay, though a little old, and the bed made some noise. There’s a big balcony with chairs and a table, but the building next door blocks any real view. The water was the main problem. It had a very strong odor, and whenever we opened the bathroom door, the smell spread through the room. That was unpleasant. Given the water issue and the room’s condition, I think you can probably find a better place nearby for the same price.

This place really disappointed me. The photos didn’t look like the room itself, and it’s a very basic, old-fashioned hostel. The toilet is so narrow you can barely sit, and the shower looks so bad you’ll need sandals. I wouldn’t go here if you’re over 25. If you can, choose somewhere else.

Room 1 had a balcony, and the beach was just a short walk away. We spent 10 lovely days at Maiiam. The host was wonderful and nothing felt like too much trouble. Thanks for such a great stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The friendly staff and comfy bed made this a great stay. It’s right by the beach, but the rooms are set at the back of the building, so nights stayed quiet. Highly recommend!

Maiiam Guesthouse was peaceful, with a clean, cozy room. The owner welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home. It’s a good, affordable option if you want somewhere quiet, and I’d happily stay again.
