My Hotel Phuket

The location was pretty good, close to the beach, restaurants, and bars, but the rooms were a real letdown. After nearly a month of travelling, I paid more here than anywhere else on our trip because we wanted a slightly nicer place for our 3 nights in Patong. The room we got didn't look like the photos of the grand superior room we booked. The shower was grimy, the toilet leaked, the bathroom floor was damaged, and the interior looked a little like a broffle. There was also a building site outside. I showed reception photos of the advertised room and the one we were given. They said they have multiple buildings and that the one we were in was classed as "grand superior". I pushed back because that wasn't what the listing showed, and after shouting at me, they agreed to move us to a different building and room the next evening. In the new room there was only a curtain between the toilet and bathroom, and it was broken and wouldn't close. My partner and I had to go out onto the balcony whenever we needed privacy. I had also asked for a large bed, but both rooms had two singles pushed together. Just not ideal. The screenshots show what we booked and the others show what we got.
