Oceanfront Beach Resort

That pool view is the best, and we always found a free sunbed even though it was high season. We hadn't seen the concern someone mentioned about outsiders taking up the loungers. The facilities were great, the staff helped with everything, and both spacious rooms were gorgeous. Breakfast was honestly one of the best I've ever had, and the shuttle into the city was really useful. We'd come back 😍 There were a couple of bumps when we arrived. The bed had a “happy honeymoon” message, though we weren't there for our honeymoon and hadn't asked for one. Our first room also had mold in the shower, so we had to switch. The move went smoothly, so it was fine.

Mia and Tena deserve a special thank you 🤍 The kids' nursery was clean, fully equipped, and welcoming, and the staff there were kind and caring with my child. He was always excited to go. We also loved the beautiful, relaxing pool, the comfortable in-room facilities, the excellent service, and our room's breathtaking view.

The main drawback for me was that this didn't feel like a true five-star resort, more like a solid four-star one. There's no spa, despite what some listings suggest, and really just one restaurant. The pool bar and breakfast buffet are counted separately, but serve the same food. Service was good, though not at the level I'd expect from a top five-star place. Housekeeping came at unpredictable times: sometimes before we'd left for breakfast, and on days we asked them to return later, the room could still be untouched hours afterward. Towel replacement also varied, from all four to only one or two. These aren't major problems, but they did affect the five-star impression. That said, it's a very good hotel in Patong if you want resort amenities, beach and party areas nearby, and a reasonable price. The rooms were large, the pool and its view were fantastic, and the resort felt calm despite being close to Patong's party center. The shuttle to Patong Beach saved us from spending so much on taxis or tuk-tuks. Food and service were generally very good, and we could walk to a few nice casual Thai restaurants and a street food market for a change of pace.

We had a very upsetting first night, and as a family traveling with a baby, we felt badly let down. We'd shared our international flight details in advance and told the resort we had a baby with us. Our flight from Sydney was delayed, so we arrived around 11:30 p.m. The night reception staff were rude and careless from check-in, with no empathy. Our baby needed milk, but we were bluntly told the kitchen was closed and nothing could be done. Nobody offered to help us order food from outside, even if we paid. After a long international journey, we were left without food or help while our baby cried from hunger for a long time. When we asked for help cleaning the milk bottle, they refused that too. Staff only reluctantly helped after we insisted repeatedly and raised our voices. No family should have to fight for a baby's basic needs. It was distressing, humiliating, and unacceptable. The next morning we had two bookings for the same stay, but the hotel refused shuttle service for one of them and told us to contact Booking.com instead of listening or taking responsibility. We also paid extra to upgrade rooms, then that same evening the bathroom drain clogged and flooded the room. A plumber came quickly, but this shouldn't happen in a paid upgrade. A few staff members were excellent: Nicole from the bar and kitchen was kind, proactive, and truly helpful with our baby; Ken in the kitchen was polite and supportive; and Somza Aloha in the kids' area was warm, caring, and great with children. Unfortunately, they were exceptions. The night front desk staff and management standards were extremely poor. This resort markets itself as family-friendly, but based on our experience I absolutely wouldn't consider it suitable for families with babies. Poor attitude, no accountability, and no basic compassion. I'd strongly advise families to look elsewhere.
