Patong Heights

Apart from one confusing taxi ride, our stay was amazing. Google Maps showed the wrong address, so we got mixed up and overpaid for a taxi. The first picture shows the Google Maps location, while the second is Apple Maps, which has the actual location. The rooms and service were excellent, with no complaints, and I’d recommend it.

I cancelled before this place could ruin my vacation. I’d booked seven days, then messaged to ask them to make sure the room was clean and bug-free before we arrived. Their reply was awful, as if they got to decide what vacation option was best for me. They also ignored my request to confirm I’d get the same sea-view room I booked. Communication was very bad.

It’s a small, tucked-away place if you want some distance from the bustle of Patong Beach. I liked the shuttle to the beach, even though the ride was bumpy, but the service was irregular. It ran about every 2-3 hours from 10:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., five trips a day, and they usually didn’t come down to collect you, so they expected you to call. The pool has no privacy at all, with people on the same floor just a stone’s throw away. Breakfast barely changes, gets bland and boring, and the pancakes taste VERY artificial. One Thai man serving us seemed unsure about a lot of questions and comments, though it could’ve been a language barrier or that he was still training. An older man who seemed to be the manager mostly kept to himself in the back office behind reception. The rooms were okay, nothing special, but there was a bit of dirt in hidden spots. The hotel is almost stuck to a neighboring building, which isn’t attractive. Water quality, breakfast, and the shuttle schedule could all be improved, including making the bus regular so guests don’t have to call. It was okay, just not especially impressive.

The hotel sits on a hill, so walking up takes a bit of effort, and breakfast doesn’t start until 8 a.m., which may not work well if you’re checking out early. There’s a shuttle into town, but it follows set times. The slightly removed location makes it quieter while keeping the main Patong area accessible. The suite rooms are spacious, comfortable, and have modern amenities and a nice view. A pleasant option if you want peace near the Patong action.
