Patong Holiday Dream

Even though Agoda had confirmed our booking, the hotel said they had no record of it when I emailed to check. I sent them the confirmation, and they told me they needed to look into it because they'd cancelled some reservations in favor of people wanting to book for a month. Ours was cancelled too. Awful, unprofessional service. A confirmed booking here doesn't seem to mean it's actually confirmed.

The studio view was so beautiful it felt like looking at a painting. We had a lovely time, and everything else was fantastic too. We came to Phuket for our honeymoon last year and were unsure about the hotel's location, but it worked perfectly: there was a view over part of the city and Bangla Road was nearby. The staff were friendly, and I think the owner welcomed us personally and made sure we were settled in. There isn't a lift, as is common in many hotels. I requested a top floor, the 4th or 5th, without realizing how tough the walk would be. Don't make my mistake, haha!

The refrigerator was dirty and smelled bad. There were rats running around the room, and ants covered my whole suitcase. The air conditioners were very old and looked like they hadn't been cleaned; there was mold and mildew inside. It felt dangerous for my health. Run away from here!

The neighborhood looks a bit run down. There are no facilities or lift, and no one at the counter when I checked in. You have to call the provided mobile number.
