Patong Terrace

The rest of the stay was fine, but the key incident felt unfair and unprofessional. The key seemed faulty, twisted while we were trying to lock or unlock the door, and I told the receptionist right away. Rather than deal with it, he blamed us and told us to either get a copy made or pay 350 baht. He then gave us a spare key that worked perfectly, which made it seem like the original may already have been defective. He still held us responsible. We also tried to discuss it with the owner, Sofia Sachdeva, but she refused to speak with us. I found that rude and disappointing. We’d booked for two nights, and at arrival the receptionist offered a bigger room, showing us both the booked room and the upgrade. He first asked for 300 baht extra, then offered the bigger one at no extra charge when I declined.

The AC leaked all night and left a puddle on the floor. The room tiles were loose, and the shower handle kept falling off when we tried to adjust the temperature or pressure. The door lock didn’t work either. We showed it to reception, but they just said okay and did nothing about it. We’d booked two separate beds, but found a kingsize bed instead. Reception said we were wrong and that our booking was for a kingsize, even though Agoda clearly listed 2 single beds. We also had to pay extra for the room we ordered through Agoda, and they didn’t apologize for any of it. I want to give a positive rating, but I just can’t, even at the price we paid.

Everything’s an easy walk from here: restaurants, bars, clubs, Bangla Road, and Patong Beach. The front desk guy was really nice and respectful to customers. Our room was quiet, with no noise, and the prices were very reasonable. Thanks for the great service! I was traveling solo from USA 🇺🇸

Even after paying extra and changing rooms twice, the rooms were still very bad. The toilets were in poor condition, water leaked into the bedroom, and the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, only afterward. All the rooms were marked non smoking but smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The property takes payment in advance, then gives you a suffocating room so you’ll ask to upgrade for extra money. The upgraded room was bad too. I made a mistake booking here and will never do it again.
