Siam Palm Residence

The loss came to nearly $1,000. We lost three nights at $500, never spent a moment in the place, and had to book somewhere nearby at the last minute for more than our original $500 budget. We pleaded for a partial refund, but the hotel argued and shouted at us until we gave up. Booking here is a financial loss and a very stressful experience when all we needed while travelling was a clean, welcoming place to relax. The apartment was cluttered with spare hotel furniture, including a living area packed with furniture from other rooms. The kettle in the picture was covered in rust, which could be harmful to health and might cause poisoning or even hospitalisation. The main bathroom had a male sign and a commercial urinal, and another toilet had a female sign. After a few minutes, I concluded this wasn't a standard hotel apartment but part of what had been the hotel's ground floor restaurant. There were two single beds barely pushed together to make a king bed. Is that really where you want to sleep? The first picture used to promote the apartment showed it differently. The hotel used four blurry pictures while its other photos showed better rooms, which misled potential customers about whether the standard would be acceptable. My remaining collage of pictures shows the shock and horror of the setup.
