I've been coming here since 2008, when a night cost 600 baht. It went to 900 in 2010, 1200 in 2020, then 1350 in 2023. Now in January 2026 they want 2500 a night for a room without a kitchen. That's an absurd price. I pay that amount per night at the five-star Ikon Hotel Karon Beach, so the rate here makes no sense. Even in high season, the room and service aren't in the same class as this price. The whole concept needs a rethink. Don't support what feels like a tourism scam. To the hotel's reply: I didn't make an online booking this year because the price was so extreme and unserious. I came to the desk in person and told the man there how I felt. I said I'd loved staying here but, as a returning guest, wasn't willing to pay that much. He spoke to you.

Agoda emailed me that the hotel couldn't accommodate me for an AR reason, even though I'd paid and had a confirmed booking for a month. To my surprise, they offered alternative hotels in Bali. With only five days before arrival, I had to search for another room, at double the price or more. It was the worst experience I've had during a 36-day trip across hotels in different countries.

We spent a couple of months here and had a great time. It's a good hotel for a longer stay, with apartments that have a kitchen separate from the bedroom, so it's easier to arrange the space. The area is quiet, but everything you need is close by. We could work during the day, go out in the evening, and sleep peacefully at night. Okkar was around almost every day to help with questions and requests. I hope this place keeps its friendly, easygoing atmosphere if we ever return.
