For about the price of some hostels, this hotel turned out much better than I expected. After I checked out, the staff kept my bag for free all day and let me wait for my taxi when I came back. I couldn't have been happier, and just wish I'd stayed longer. The location was a great balance: close to the action but far enough away to sleep. The easy 10-minute walk to the beach goes through bangla road, the main nightlife street, which is as wild as promised. On the way back, the hotel is just far enough away from it to get some quiet. The room was beautifully decorated, with towels folded into towel shapes and a classic Thai theme. The rain shower had excellent water pressure. When I arrived, a staff member walked me to the room, showed me around, and checked that I had everything I needed for the night before leaving.

The price was really good, and everyone there was incredibly nice. My bed was a little uncomfortable, though not terrible. If you prefer a very soft mattress, you might want to ask about it first. The water in my room never got hot, just not cold, and I like very hot showers. Finding the place was a real struggle. The address I got kept pointing to different spots in Google Maps and Grab. I called, and typing corner hotel into the search finally got me to the right place.

For this price, I don't think you can find a better room or service. Mine was clean and spacious, with a balcony where you could smoke and enjoy the view. The staff were friendly, too. I accidentally made a mess on the lobby floor, and they didn't seem annoyed at all.

The neighborhood is quiet, so I slept easily, and the room was clean with nothing to complain about. Bangla road is nearby if you want the party street. The beach wasn't far for me, though I know some people prefer to stay right on the beach.

Clean and elegant, and decent for the price in this area. It's not a high-end property, but if you're making the most of your time out, Bangla road is only a few steps away and the beach is around a 10-15 minute walk via Bangla road. I'd pick this over fancier places farther away at a similar price. One thing to know: the bath area could use a divider. After a shower, water gets across the bathroom and can reach the room on your feet. It's manageable, not a nightmare.
