Twin Sands by Lofty

Our kids loved the pools, which were fantastic, spacious, beautifully maintained and had plenty for families to enjoy. The staff around the pool were outstanding, friendly, attentive and always smiling. The whole resort was exceptionally clean, from the rooms to the shared areas, and it feels like a luxury place that cares about the details. The fireworks and event evenings were a real highlight and gave our family amazing memories. Room cleaning was sometimes quite late in the day, but that's a small issue next to how good everything else was. We had a brilliant stay at Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach, and everything exceeded our expectations. We'd highly recommend it and would absolutely come back. 10/10.

Our room was spacious, quiet and spotless, with a big, comfortable bed. The staff were amazing and helpful with practically everything, and the concierge service was superb. The beach is incredible, with powdery sand. We had read that the seabottom was rocky, but we didn't expect coral. Snorkeling among the coral and all the sea life was a dream. The restaurants offered lots of variety and were all great, the pools were big and clean, and there was something happening every hour, so it was hard to get bored. What made the stay stand out most was how the hotel helped when our daughter became ill. We made the mistake of buying pre-cut fruit at the market in the afternoon, and by evening she was vomiting from a bacteria. By about 2 AM she had been sick four times, so we called reception and explained. Within 20 minutes, a doctor arrived in our room, already fully briefed. She gave our daughter an IV drip and the necessary medication, and took a blood sample for bacteria, which came back positive the next day. The next morning reception called to check on her and offered complimentary food for our child in the room. Being so far from home with a problem like that isn't easy, but the hotel made us feel safe and at home. We spoke with other guests from the EU about it, and none of us thought we'd get that level of service in our own countries. A vacation can have setbacks as well as great moments. The team here helped make the good times better, and made sure we weren't alone or unsafe on a bad day. It's hard to explain just how good this hotel is. We'd tell people to stay here and not look elsewhere.

It's a lovely spot for combining a birthday celebration with a holiday, in a great location away from the city's bustle. Friendly staff and a happy atmosphere made the stay feel special, and we met many great people and found memorable places along the way. At breakfast, Patty and Filmmy at the DOGC went out of their way to make my birthday special with a cake and a song. Thank you both! After we returned from excursions, there was another surprise in our room: towel art, birthday hats, and a cake. Thanks to everyone who helped make the day so memorable. I'd recommend this place for a holiday or a special occasion with family or friends. Cheers!

An outstanding resort for families, with so much to keep everyone busy. There are multiple pools with safety jackets, pool noodles and balls, plus ping pong and pool tables, floor chess, daycare, an ice cream bar and a playground. There was too much to list, and it was easy to keep the whole family entertained. Staff were amazing, and every restaurant helped out with the kids. We all had a great time. 5 stars.
