Abani Jomtien Inn

I paid 700 baht a night. The room was just okay, and the furnishings were a little worn. There's no pool, and passing traffic made it a bit noisy at night.

The kitchen is really just a separate room with a sink and hot water kettle, so for anything beyond coffee, tea, or Ramen, you have to go out. The rooms could use a refresh. They look clean, but there was a smell like a cat had sprayed at some point, and I think the couch might be the source. I had to ask for toilet paper, and there wasn't a trash can, so I used a shopping bag. No soap or shower curtain either.

The room had a large balcony, bright spacious bathroom, a couch, plenty of storage, cold air-conditioning, and good lighting. It was also close to the beach, with spotless linens, a comfortable bed, a pleasant smell, and much better cleanliness than I expected. The Wi-Fi was very good too, which makes this a great option for a budget traveler or longer stay. Unbeatable value for money. My only complaint is that there was no TV in my room, but a tablet or laptop works fine with the fast Wi-Fi. I'd definitely recommend it.

The internet is great, and if you're after something cheap, the sign out front advertises rooms for 700 baht. But the hotel is showing signs of needing maintenance. The patio screen door was broken and left on the balcony floor, and the sliding patio door wouldn't slide. There are cockroaches, no TV, and bugs can breed under the wood plank covering the shower drain. It isn't really ocean view either. Disappointing in a lot of ways.
