At Sea Hotel Pattaya

The location is excellent, right at the entrance to walking street and the start of the beach. I barely noticed the music from nearby clubs. The staff were responsive and helpful, and they kindly let me check in early. If you want a sea-side view, expect to pay a bit more. I booked the evening before and paid extra, so booking well in advance might get you a better price. My room was massive and felt fit for royalty. The king-size bed looked like a small piece of furniture in it, and there was a large mirror to admire yourself in. The washroom was neat and huge, with a bathtub. There's free parking in the bar area downstairs if you rent a scooter, but there's no lift. They charge a refundable 1,000 BHT security deposit, so remember to ask for it back when you check out.

For a reasonable budget, this is a great spot in Pattaya if you want a good location and excellent views. The rooms are quite large and the balcony views are excellent. It's right beside the walking street. The staff seem friendly, though don't expect five-star service.

I booked a room through Trip.com, but couldn’t handle all the questions online and got no help. The listing showed a balcony and sea view, yet on arrival I was given a room with two tiny windows facing a garage basement. When I refused to stay, they said the booking was non-refundable, no matter what. I tried contacting the property four or five times and got nowhere. Trip.com also offered no real help, only tried to persuade me to stay there. I can’t believe they let a property take people’s money like this. Ridiculous.

Great spot in Pattaya, and the staff are very friendly about bringing a lady friend. I’d stay again, though that noisy Indian restaurant is hard to put up with. The door locks could use an update.
