B Space Residence

I stayed at B Space Residence for six months. The quiet location and the convenience of the residence were the only reasons I stayed that long. Otherwise, I would have moved out much sooner. It’s not worth staying for even a month or less. Pay a bit more for much better service and a cleaner, better room. The place is old and poorly maintained, with cracks in the walls and visibly dirty rooms and walls. The staff changed every month, generally didn’t seem to care, and weren’t friendly or cheerful. No one spoke English, so it was hard to explain a problem or complaint. I paid 300 baht a month for a blanket for five months, even though I’d bought my own one month after moving in. When I raised it with reception, nobody understood. They did replace the broken TV the day after I moved in, but that was the end of the helpful service. Rent was 6,000 baht per month, plus water and electricity, and another 300 for a blanket. That doesn’t feel worthwhile over time. The air conditioner apparently hadn’t been cleaned in a long while. It took hours to cool the room, and I had to set it to 15C to get the room down to 25C.

The place is far from the beach, so as a tourist you need a scooter or a taxi every time. It also feels too expensive for tourists, since a week costs about the same as a month-long stay. The pool was never cleaned, and there was only one sun lounger. The furniture is old and dirty, the toilet and internet didn’t work, and nobody seemed to care. The mattress was hard as wood and left me in pain after three days. The staff weren’t very friendly or helpful. It seems suited only to Farlang staying long-term for little money.

The room was decent and clean, but the air-conditioning unit on the balcony was extremely noisy. The area also isn’t close to much. The first woman at the desk didn’t understand English and seemed pretty miserable, and there’s no elevator or help with luggage. I personally wouldn’t stay here again.

The rooms are spacious, the WiFi is fast, and the location is okay. There’s no elevator, and the room lacks a key card, small towel, soap, and HDMI. They also require a 300B deposit. The worst part was having no wired phone in the room.
