I got hurt on the bed because its cemented frame had sharp corners. That’s unsafe for guests. The bathroom was dirty, with insects crawling around, and the unpainted walls made the room look awful. It didn’t feel like a hotel room at all, more like a chawl or temporary shelter. No cleanliness, maintenance, or comfort. I strongly don’t recommend this place.

The location is great, with bars, nightclubs, and both the day and night markets about a 5-10 minute walk in any direction. Bolt drivers picked up and dropped off without any trouble. There was always a security guard outside and reception staff available. Breakfast was good, but it goes quickly, so eat within the first three hours after it opens. Massage is offered onsite, though I’d go into town instead for better service and lower prices. My room was in one of three buildings. The one I got was two stories and noticeably older and more run down. The bathroom sink had only cold water. The electric heater couldn’t keep water hot, only warm for a few minutes. There were other problems all night and day. The walls are very thin, and every 20-40 minutes at night I heard a loud door slam from guests from India. During the day, a construction crew was sawing and using power tools. My AC was noisy, making a loud whirring sound every 5-10 minutes, then stopping its cool air. I’m allergic to dust, mold, and mildew, and got sick on my third night. I also found a dying roach between the beds when I entered. The hotel needs to address the pest issue. I’d look elsewhere.

The pool was the one part I thought was reasonably maintained. Apart from that, our three nights at Bella Express Hotel, Pattaya, during a family trip in the last week of May'26 were deeply disappointing. For a place advertised as three-star, I felt it didn’t even meet basic one-star standards, and the experience affected our Thailand vacation. Housekeeping didn’t clean the room properly despite repeated requests. The room was poorly maintained, and several things didn’t work. The charging points were broken and never repaired. The refrigerator also didn’t work; we asked staff to fix or replace it because we had food that needed chilling, but nothing was done. Our room faced an AC duct. We asked politely to change rooms and saw what looked like other rooms available, but reception neither helped nor explained why. The front desk was frustratingly unresponsive. We also felt unsafe. The room safe wasn’t reliable, and we learned staff had a master key that could open guest safes. It appeared our safe had been accessed while we were out, which destroyed our confidence in the security. Guests should be able to trust a room safe with their valuables. Staff were generally unhelpful and showed little interest when we raised legitimate concerns. Dining was another concern: we saw cockroaches around the buffet counter, so we couldn’t eat with confidence. Our family mostly stuck to fruit and sandwiches because of hygiene and food safety concerns. I’d advise families to consider other places in Pattaya. There are better options near Pattaya Beach for cleanliness, security, service, and value. I’ve attached photos of the property and the lack of housekeeping after our repeated requests. I hope management takes the feedback seriously.

The one staff member who made an effort was Kirby on the night shift. He was friendly and willing to help. The room cleaning was okay, but most of the rest was a mess. The receptionists weren’t helpful. We asked several times where the washing and drying machines were, but they couldn’t explain and wouldn’t even get up to show us. The hotel was noisy all night, with shouting in the halls and doors slamming constantly. You go on vacation to rest, but there was no peace in the room. Although my room was listed as having wifi, there was none that worked. It would cut out after two minutes, so I had to use mobile data. For the price they charge, they don’t provide even half of what they promise. The hotel is a disaster, and I won’t stay again.
