The room was quiet and spacious, and the bed was comfortable, but I still wouldn’t say it was worth the money unless you have no other choice or you’re a Spartan. My back hurts after sleeping in the second room, where the mattress was very hard. The shower was cold again too, only shifting between cool and lukewarm, and perhaps getting a little warmer by the time I finished. I’d booked one night on January 1st 2026 at an inflated holiday price because they had a king size bed available when many hotels were sold out. At check-in, the receptionist offered two single beds pushed together. When I objected, she asked me to wait 30 minutes while they cleaned a king-bed room. I waited on my phone, then got the same two-bed setup anyway. When I called, she said she didn’t know. I decided to put up with it and showered, only to find the water cold, fluctuating between cool and lukewarm. I cut the shower short and went to bed. At checkout the next morning I explained what had happened and said I’d have stayed if I’d gotten a good room. Another receptionist said she could give me a king size bed and personally make sure the shower had hot water. I booked another night, then waited 1.5 hours for the room to be cleaned. I had to rush to the Koh Lan ferry boat, so I couldn’t check it first. When I returned that night, the water was cold again. The first receptionist had been disappointing and misleading.

The location is handy for the well-known tourist attractions, and I’d return. The rooms were very clean, and room service was very good. Breakfast leaned more toward local food, though there were other things to try as well.

The hotel was well maintained, although it’s outside the city center. I found the rules too strict. Even when the room was free, check-in was held until 2:00 PM. I asked about paying to get in 2-3 hours early and got nowhere, so I sat in the lobby from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. They could have let me in for 200-300 baht, like places do elsewhere. They don’t know how to work, then complain that guests aren’t allowed in. To clarify my reply to the hotel’s response, nobody offered me early entry for 500 baht. I actually asked after 2:00 PM whether the room was free; otherwise I would have been stuck there all afternoon. The hotel wasn’t full, and I saw customers leaving while I was in the hall. If the room is available, I don’t understand why I couldn’t have it at noon. I’m not asking to get in at 10:00 AM. If I arrive at 7:00 or 8:00 AM, it makes sense to pay extra.

From check-in through the stay, I had an amazing experience. JIB was especially polite and helped get my group checked in.
