Coco Beach Hotel Jomtien Pattaya

We paid for five nights but checked out after one. We'd booked a deluxe king room, but were given a twin room because they said the hotel was full. I told them they should either refund the difference, since the king room cost more, or move us to a king room. The room we were moved to had peeling paint on the architraves and walls. We booked another hotel the next morning and left. Nobody asked why we were checking out early or whether everything was okay. I highly recommend not staying there.

The front desk interactions could feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Some of the staff came across as finicky and, at times, lacking manners. The elevator was also really loud during our stay. The managers, on the other hand, were very helpful and easy to deal with. Coco Beach Hotel Jomtien Pattaya has a stylish, well-designed interior, and the pool area was a highlight, especially the swim-up bar. It's conveniently located close to everything you need. A beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, though there's room to improve front desk service and noise levels.

The room was spacious and the location was good. That's about it. There was basically no service. There were hairs on the floor, and the washroom had a nearly empty toilet paper roll, the only one in my room. The garbage can had a broken lid, and the fridge's plastic bar was broken. During my stay, the lever for switching between the shower and faucet came off, too. Management doesn't seem to know what maintenance means.

The first impression wasn't good. Check-in at a tiny table in the barely there lobby was slow, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. Our room wasn't ready until 2 p.m. The poolside chairs and tables were dirty, and the pool bar across the way was closed despite its posted hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. That left the main restaurant or finding a beer somewhere else. Prices felt like five-star rates, with a small beer costing 120 Baht. Once we finally got to the room, the key didn't work, and there was no safe or locker. The bathroom was small, had no ventilation, and the bathtub and shower curtain were moldy. Then at 2:45 p.m., another guest accidentally walked into our room. Absolutely unacceptable. Possibly unsafe. A five-star hotel? Far from it. Maybe this meets Russian or Indian five-star standards, but certainly not international ones.
